Join our friendly Visitor Services Volunteer team!

Our Visitor Services Volunteers are the face of the Museum and help provide a warm welcome to all our visitors. They deliver excellent customer service assisting in three customer facing areas of the Museum – Front of House, shop, and gallery invigilation.

Role Description

We are looking for volunteers for Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

How to apply         

Our volunteer programme is open to anyone aged 18 and over.

Please download and fill in the Application Form and email it to fashiontextilemuseum@newham.ac.uk

Voice recordings of your answers to the questions on the application form will also be accepted.

What next?

Potential applicants will be contacted by our Visitor Experience and Volunteer Coordinator and invited to an informal chat over Teams.

This volunteering opportunity is expected to cover the end of our current exhibition Paint! Pattern! Print! which closes Sunday 13 September 2026 and with a view to continue with us for our next exhibition Ossie Clark + Celia Birtwell which opens Friday 2 October 2026.
