Our Visitor Services Volunteers are the face of the Museum and help provide a warm welcome to all our visitors. They deliver excellent customer service assisting in three customer facing areas of the Museum – Front of House, shop, and gallery invigilation.

Role Description
We are looking for volunteers for Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

How to apply
Our volunteer programme is open to anyone aged 18 and over.

Voice recordings of your answers to the questions on the application form will also be accepted.

What next?
Potential applicants will be contacted by our Visitor Experience and Volunteer Coordinator and invited to an informal chat week commencing 5 January 2026. This can be arranged to be in person or online.
This volunteering opportunity is expected to start week commencing 12 January 2026 with the view to volunteering for the last 2 months of our current exhibition Costume Couture and continuing on our next exhibition Paint! Pattern! Print! which opens 27 March 2026.
