Join fashion writer Eloise Moran for this online talk as she dissects some of Diana’s best outfits and investigates what the princess may have been trying to tell us through her clothing.
While researching her new publication The Lady Di Look Book, Eloise studied thousands of images of the princess and discovered that a carefully crafted strategy was hidden behind many of her iconic looks. Focusing on Diana’s influential position as a fashion icon, this talk will help us all to see the power of communicating through dress.
This talk will take you on a photographic journey celebrating Princess Diana’s fashion choices over the decades. From the pink gingham pants and pastel-yellow overalls of a young Diana to the sexy Versace mini dresses, power suits, and cycling shorts; this is an interpretation of Diana’s most impactful eighties and early nineties outfits and her most fearless post-divorce revenge looks. Whether it’s ’80s cottagecore Diana, little black dress Diana, androgynous bow-tie Diana, or athleisure Diana, there is a look for everyone.
This is a recording of the online event, The Lady Di Look Book, which originally took place on Thursday 30 June 2022 via Microsoft Teams.
