Join author and Londnr founder Nina-Sophia Miralles in conversation as she discusses her new book, Glossy: The Inside Story of Vogue with museum curator Teresa Collenette.

In this online event, Nina shares some of the entertaining social history of Vogue, charting the history of the magazine and the characters that have been integral to its evolution and success.

Vogue magazine started, like so many great things do, in the spare room of someone’s house. But unlike other such makeshift projects that flare up then fizzle away, Vogue burnt itself onto our cultural consciousness. Nina and Teresa discuss some of the highlights from the book including stories of French Vogue’s response to WWII, its secret publishing, the magazine’s historical importance during the war and the importance of the magazine’s role in empowering women for generations.

Hear how Vogue has evolved over time, adapted to going online and become one of the most recognisable brands in the world today.
