As part of Newham College London, the Fashion and Textile Museum is hosting a series of practical design short courses in collaboration with the College’s Fashion & Tailoring department. Aimed at adults wishing to gain a detailed understanding of fashion techniques, develop skills before undertaking a qualification course or simply to satisfy a hobby, the full range of courses will cover topics from pattern cutting and draping to tailoring techniques.
Newham College is well established in teaching Fashion and Tailoring at their East Ham campus, with links to Saville Row, and is a partner of the Fashion District in East London. The Fashion & Tailoring department runs a number of qualification courses designed to equip students with an understanding and knowledge of garment construction techniques used in the industry while building their confidence, skills and professional experience.
