Our Visitor Services Volunteers are the face of the Museum and help provide a warm welcome to all our visitors. They deliver excellent customer service assisting in three customer facing areas of the Museum – Front of House, shop, and gallery invigilation.

How to apply
Our volunteer programme is open to anyone aged 18 and over.
Please note Induction Sessions will take place on Friday 5 September 10.00-11.30 or Sunday 7 September 15.00-16.30, when applying please ensure you are available to attend one of these sessions.

Voice recordings of your answers to the questions on the application form will also be accepted.
Closing Date: 24 August 2025 at 17.00.
What next?
Potential applicants will be contacted by our Public Programmes and Operations Manager and invited to an informal chat week commencing 25 August. This can be arranged to be in person or online.
This volunteering opportunity will begin from 26 September 2025 with the opening of our new exhibition Costume Couture: Sixty Years of Cosprop.
