The Royal School of Needlework want to share their passion for needlework with KS2 pupils. Bring the next generation of stitchers to engage with the current exhibition, 150 Years of Needlework: Crown to Catwalk and enjoy a stitch class.

Each session will run from 9.30 – 11.00, comprising a 45-minute tour of the exhibition with a fun worksheet provided and a 45-minute stitch class taught by expert RSN tutors.

Pupils will be given a pre-printed fabric with one of the words, ‘FUN’, ‘WOW’ or ‘NEW’ and the opportunity to learn some basic filler and outline stitches to decorate their words.

Booking information

  • Groups of up to 35 children will be welcome
  • The sessions are suited to KS2 – Years 5 and 6
  • There is limited availability; places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis
  • All materials will be provided, and pupils will be able to take their work home with them
