In this 2-hour workshop, participants will create mood boards from a selection of images and use croquis to illustrate their final collection. Young designers will have the opportunity to develop their fashion creativity and understanding of how established designers work in the industry.
This is a beginner-level workshop, suitable for children aged 12-18.
Parents/guardians are advised to bring students to the Museum’s Front of House just before the session begins, where they will be signed in and escorted to the Fashion Studio to meet their tutor by a member of Museum staff. The workshop runs for two hours after which students will be escorted back to meet their parents/guardians in the Workroom. Please be aware, on arrival we require a guardian to provide an emergency contact number for participants under 16.
Suki Bourne is a freelance fashion and textile designer who has worked both nationally and internationally. She teaches a variety of workshops at the Museum including Draw Like a Designer and the Summer School programme. Suki also mentors young designers helping them to develop their work into commercially viable designs.
