Spend a day creating decorative collages under the expert hand of Sarah Campbell.
Book ticketsSpend a day creating decorative collages under the expert hand of Sarah Campbell.
Sarah will show samples of her own folded and collaged pieces; participants will start by exploring techniques and will discuss how to consider shape, colour, texture and form. Acclaimed designer Sarah Campbell will lead the small group (maximum 10 participants) through different aspects of composition, colour and contrast. Students will be encouraged to spend time experimenting with paper cutting and folding techniques.
People of all abilities and skill levels are welcome and there’ll be no pressure to produce finished work – it’s a day to enjoy an inspiring time and to learn and practise new skills to take home.
There will also be an opportunity to take tea with Sarah and discuss her approach to design and some of her career highlights.
All materials will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own papers, recycled materials and sketchbooks too.
Sarah Campbell Ltd undertakes a wide range of projects from one-off design creations, unique pieces, paintings and commissions to textile, surface, stationery and ceramic design for the high street. She has recently begun a relationship in the US with Free Spirit producing new fabric ranges, with the first collection ‘FreshPicked’ now available to order, shipping in early 2022, and a second hot on its heels.
Here in the UK, a new relationship with Museums & Galleries has opened with a widely available range of stationery, cards and gift wraps, and Stringberry offers a range of mobile phone cases with Sarah’s designs too. Along with her teaching, Sarah is currently working on a book about painting on fabric to be published in the autumn of 2022.
