Commercial Coordinator

The Fashion and Textile Museum, Newham College, is looking for a Commercial Coordinator for a 1-year fixed term contract.

The Fashion and Textile Museum, London was founded in 2003, by icon of British design, Dame Zandra Rhodes. Since 2007 the Museum is operated by Newham College, London – one of Europe’s largest further education colleges.

This post will provide support to the Commercial and Operations team at the Fashion and Textile Museum, coordinating the administration and logistics of commercial activities with a particular focus on back and front of house retail activities.

This role includes both back of and front of house visitor service elements, supporting the day to day running of the Museum, training and supporting volunteers, customer service, and acts as Duty Manager where appropriate. As part of a small team, this post plays an essential part in ensuring visitor and commercial targets are met and providing an excellent visitor experience for customers.

We are looking for an ambitious all-rounder with a keen interest in retail and commercial activities in Museums. You can hit the ground running and have an eagerness to learn and grow skills.
